Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa Endorses UAL Mechanics’ Organizing Campaign

Rich Petrovsky, a 37-year United Airlines aviation mechanic and Chair of the Committee for Change, is pictured here with Teamsters General President, Jim Hoffa. Petrovsky attended the Change to Win Federation Convention on September 25, and spoke before hundreds of delegates representing over six million workers from the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Laborers’ International Union of America, Service Employees International Union, UNITE HERE, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, United Farm Workers of America, and United Food and Commercial Workers International Union. In his speech, Petrovsky spoke passionately about the importance of fighting to maintain middle class standards in the aviation industry and the importance of building aviation mechanic power by uniting into one strong union.
