UAL Mechanics for Teamsters

UAL Mechanics Learn More about the Teamsters

Open Houses Continue Across the Country

The Holiday Inn at Boston Logan Airport was bustling with UAL mechanics recently. The Teamsters held an informational open house, with Teamster representatives and Teamster mechanics on hand to answer questions about the Teamsters Union and the Western Conference pension plan. The open house started with a strong turnout with the midnight shift coming off of work, followed by the swing shift. Many active and furloughed mechanics dropped by throughout the day. Successful open houses were held the same week in Newark, New Jersey and Aurora, Colorado, with more scheduled nationwide!

“I don’t feel we are getting anything with AMFA and I don’t like losing our work overseas. Our work is going out and they seem to have AMFA’s blessing. I want to finish out my career on my terms rather than AMFA’s.”

--Brian Ball, UAL mechanic, Boston

“The company is changing so much, but it is for the ‘elite’ few on top who want it all. UAL has tried numerous times to get rid of the GQ shop. I want somebody who will stand up for me and my job. I am totally committed to UAL, but they are not totally committed to me.”

--Thomas A. Pruss, UAL mechanic, Boston
